Iowa HP was created in the early 2000’s as a three-tier program consisting of tryouts, an individual skills camp and selection to our Iowa HP travel teams.  Through these programs, we are charged and committed to select, develop, and help support athletes who will represent the Iowa Region with the ultimate objective of winning medals at the USAV All-Star Championships and other national and international competitions if the opportunity should arise.

To take part in Iowa High Performance, you must be a member of the Iowa Region, or if not a current USAV member, live in Iowa or go to school in Iowa and participate in HP Tryouts.

Tiers to Participate in Iowa HP:



1 – Attend a Tryout

• Athletes need to attend at least one of the 5 tryouts to be selected to attend the Skills Camp.  These tryouts are hosted in Western Iowa, Des Moines (x2), Cedar Rapids & Davenport.
• Athletes can tryout at more than one tryout if they choose, this is completely optional.

2 – Train at Skills Camp

• Athletes selected from Tryouts will attend our Skills Camp.  This camp is a 4-day camp for our older girls & our boys; and the U13 girls is a 2-day camp.  This camp will be led by top college & USA coaches, as well as athletes will work with a staff comprised of NAIA, NCAA D1-D3, NJCAA, & Club Coaches.

3 – Travel to Championships

• The final teams will travel to the All-Star Championships in July!

• May 10th – HP Camp Acceptance Form (online) Due
• May 10th – HP Camp Participation Agreement (online) Due
• May 31st – HP Camp Payment Due
• June 6-9th – Iowa HP Camp, Coe College, Cedar Rapids, IA
• June 7-8th - Girls U13 Division Camp
• June 9th – Iowa HP Travel Team Rosters Announced
• June 8th – Girls U13 Travel Team Rosters Announced
• June 17th – HP Travel Team Acceptance Form (online) Due
• July 8th – HP Travel Team Payment Due
• July 15-16th – Travel Team Camp at Grand View University, Des Moines
• July 17th – Hotel Check-In & Practice Day at Hy-Vee Hall
• July 18-21^st - All-Star Championships in Des Moines, IA
